A national Sons of the American Revolution (S.A.R.) was held on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at The Hermitage near the tomb of Rachel and President Andrew Jackson to dedicate a granite bench honoring Andrew Jackson.
It is a little-known fact that Andrew Jackson was the last U.S. president to have been a soldier in the Revolutionary War. The Andrew Jackson S.A.R co-hosted the event and the chapter president Paul White was the keynote speaker. The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution President General and several other national and out-of-state officers also attended. The Color Guard was composed of members from Tennessee and most surrounding states.
A recap video of this event, including speeches and dedications can be viewed in the video below. Thanks to all those who attended!
